Hello Mountain Oaks Community Members,

Roxanna Rabe, Mountain Oaks Board Member, Vice President conducted a series of Facewalks in January and February 2025. Roxanna presented the results of the Facewalk to our Board at our last meeting, Mar 12, 2025. Our board members asked our Administrative team to address questions and concerns in writing and post them on our social media platforms similar to how we addressed questions and concerns from past surveys and our last Annual Retreat.

The Health department is willing to come to Mountain Oaks and give free TDAP to any student who is in need of getting the TDAP immunization and does not have private insurance. Parents must be present with them for the student to receive the immunization.

This is great for our 6th graders, so that they will be compliant for the immunization requirements for 7th grade. They will not come out unless we have students who want to receive the free immunization. This is a great way to get it done easily and free.

All students must be up-to-date on their immunizations to be able to attend school group activities, such as: workshops, field trips and special events. Students who are not fully immunized can be enrolled and meet one-on-one with their mentor teacher but cannot participate in group activities.

We contract with Calaveras River Academy for our food services and hot lunches. They are currently in the process of hiring someone after receiving notice that their previous employee would not be returning. Unfortunately, we will only be able to offer shelf-stable lunches while they are in the process of hiring someone. Families must still sign-up 5 days in advance through the lunch program and list "Shelf Stable" as their chosen lunch. We need to know in advance to make sure we have enough items to make the necessary lunches. Once they have someone hired, we will post the hot lunch menu. Dear Mountain Oaks Community Members,

I regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be closing the Mountain Oaks Sonora Satellite Resource Center at the end of the 24/25 school year. The building we are currently in was sold a few months ago. Unfortunately, we have been unable to secure a renewal of our lease for the building, which has led to this difficult decision.
