Mountain Oaks School, a free public charter school will be entering its 28th successful year of operations serving Gold Country communities located in Calaveras, Tuolumne, Amador ​and other adjoining counties. Calling all Seniors. Please come to your Mountain Oaks site to sign the signature page, even if you are not planning on purchasing a shirt. We would love to have as many senior signatures as possible. The shirt orders are due by January 31, 2022. We will be accepting checks made payable to Mountain Oaks or you can come to the San Andreas site and see Chris Brosz in the library to pay with a credit card. Please make sure your total has been verified and that you have signed the signature page before paying. Therefore, it will help to ensure you have the best homeschooling experience we can offer. We will gather the data from the surveys and present it at the Annual Retreat. This information will then be used at the retreat for discussing the needs of our families and students and making plans for Mountain Oaks' future. Our next virtual field trip is coming up very soon! It will be this coming Monday, January 17, 2022 at 10:00am.

We are headed to Van Damme State Park and Beach up near Mendocino on the Northern California coastline.

(Although this day is a school holiday for Martin Luther King Jr., we are still having PORTS because this is the only date that was available for us to visit Van Damme.)

Van Damme State Beach is beautiful. We will join a ranger from the park to learn about Marine Protected Areas and Kelp Forests along our California coastline.
