Dinner with a Scientist
Dinner with a Scientist gives 4th-12th grade students from Calaveras and Amador County schools a unique opportunity to enjoy dinner and an evening with local scientists in a professional environment. Scientists ranging from geologists to veterinarians, biologists, educators, engineers, and more, volunteer to spend an evening discussing their field of expertise. Teachers attend the event with a team of 2 to 4 students and enjoy a three-course meal where students ask questions and scientists share their enthusiasm and advice about careers in technology, engineering, math, and science. If you are interested in attending, get a Student Participation Form from your mentor teacher. The last day to sign up is September 9 by noon. Posted 8/22/22
