8th Grade Graduation Information Graduation is right around the corner. The 8th Grade graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 25th at 6 PM at the Mountain Oaks Gymnasium in San Andreas. Graduates need to be at the school by 4:00 PM on graduation day for photos and rehearsal. Graduates and their families should consider the significance of the event and dress accordingly. Nature Bowl Competition and Video Nature Bowl had their competition on Tuesday, April 18! They did an amazing job and worked so hard as a team. Emmaline Turnbeaugh, Aiden Filkens, Chase Rose, Ariyana Kemeny, Joybella Moore, and Anabelle Vrismo all demonstrated a strong understanding of their local environment and had a great time doing it. We look forward to another year of getting our 3-6th grade students outside.As part of the competition, students made "Enviromercials" to teach about a environmental issue. Youth Leadership Conference A youth leadership conference for 8th-12th grade students will be held at Delta College in Stockton on 4/28/23 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Animal Awareness Week Mountain Oaks Green Team is Sponsoring an Animal Awareness Week at the San Andreas site. They are doing fundraisers all week. They are selling plants, tee shirts, stickers, and more. All proceeds go to the Mountain Oaks San Andreas site school garden. Wed. 4/19: Tri-county wildlife will come in at 12:30 to do a demonstration with their raptor birds.Thursday, 4/20: Animals in Art at 2: There will be displays around the courtyard and library on different artists that include animals in their artwork. During lunch, students will learn how to do a self-portrait of themselves with an animal.Friday, 4/21: Earth Day Celebration at 12: We will end the week with the Earth Day Celebration.
