Workshops support student learning and collaborative work. A current list of workshops and a brief description is available for each site.
Dropping Off Students
Please do not drop your children off at the site or any off-site workshops at anytime without at least one fingerprinted, TB cleared "qualified" adult willing to receive them, and be responsible for them. This is mandated by our school liability insurance.
Become a "Qualified" Adult
"Qualified" adults are present at all Mountain Oaks activities or workshops until all participants have left. We must have at least two "qualified" adults present at all Mountain Oaks events. This becomes especially important for off-site events, and some events have had to be cancelled because there were not "qualified" adults available. It's easy to become a "qualified adult", and all parents are eligible. They must be fingerprinted by CCOE and have TB clearance. If you are interested please contact an administrator.
Attendance at Workshops
Attendance at all workshops offered by the site will be based on the following priorities:
- Enrolled students who either live in the site's county or have chosen the site as their “site of choice”.
- Enrolled students (meeting the above guidelines) wishing to repeat a session. (Such as more than one pottery class.)
- Non-site enrolled students.
- Non-site enrolled students wishing to repeat a session.
- Parents and un-enrolled siblings.
