The San Andreas site Winter Festival is this Friday, December 13th from 9:30A-2:30P. The Whoopi's Big Book of Manners performance is from 9:30-10A. Crafts are from 10A-1P. The potluck is from 1-2P. Families should call Dana at 754-0532 to let her know what they will be bringing. We are hoping to have a traditional Christmas dinner to share with our Mountain Oaks family. The Mountain Oaks Sporks band will be providing music during lunch. The cookie exchange is from 1:30-2P. Please bring your favorite homemade dessert or cookies (about 2 dozen) and at least 10 copies of your recipe. From 2-2:30P is the 9-12 grade theater troupes performance of "The Toughest Cowboy". We hope you can all make it to this wonderful event!
Between now and the end of the semester (January 17th), all high school students need to take End Of Course LinkIt! assessments for the Science, Math, Social Studies and Language classes that they are currently enrolled in. We are providing proctored testing at the San Andreas site on the following days from 10A-12N and 2-4P: Monday - December 9, Thursday - December 12, Wednesday - January 8 and Tuesday - January 14. You may sign up for a spot with Dana at the front desk. If you have any questions about this, please talk to your mentor teacher.
Check out the Music Workshop Interest Survey for K-5th students in the front office in San Andreas. Please sign up if interested. We are hoping to hold a class beginning in January if there is enough interest!
Don't miss the two drama presentations on Friday, December 13 which are adapted and directed by Claire Coykendall!
The K-3 Theater Troupe will present "Whoopi's Big Book of Manners" by Whoopi Goldberg at 9:30A.
The High School Theater Troupe will present "The Toughest Cowboy" at 2P.
There is a recommended donation of one canned good for the local food bank.

We would like to send a huge thank you to all the families and staff members that chose a child in need off our tree. All the children have been chosen, 25 total this year, and we've already had gifts returned! All gifts need to be turned in to the front office by the Monday, December 16th so we can get them to families before Winter Break. Thanks again!
Are you a 3rd - 6th grader who is interested in being a part of the Nature Bowl team this year? The competition will be on May 6, 2014. There will be an interest survey on the bulletin board at the San Andreas site. If you attend one of the other sites and want to participated, you may call Dana and have her put your name on the list. For further information, contact MaryAnne G. at ext. 2266.

Both the boy's and girl's high school basketball teams are in desperate need of players. We currently only have 5 players for each team which means we do not have any subs. If one player is sick or can't make a game we will have to forfeit. Even if you have never player before, we would love to have you on the team. This is a great way to learn something new and to make new friends.
